In my graduation project, ‘Arctic Symphony’, the medium of photography became a useful tool, offering a window into the topics of my research about the dynamics of time, decay, and production.
The selected images, all rooted in nature, are spanning a range between intimate close-ups and broader captures. The close-ups spotlight the delicate interplay of elemental forces, such as the mingling of sand and water. These images capture the dance of nature, where every grain and droplet tells a story of motion, change, and resilience. On the other end, the broader captures, frame structures and landscapes that have gracefully, or sometimes dramatically, surrendered or transformed with the passage of time.
This collection not only served as a source of inspiration but also as a reminder of the ceaseless transformative force that time is. These photographs, with their visual stories of both the micro interactions and macro changes, complement the narrative of ‘Arctic Symphony’.

Borders and Transitions er en fotoserie som utforsker øyeblikkene der én romlig tilstand viker for en annen — der land møter vann, der dyrket jord vender tilbake til det ville, der menneskelig innblanding løses opp i landskap. Fotografert under en sommerreise gjennom Norge dokumenterer serien disse tersklene med et arkitektonisk blikk.
Hvert bilde er en studie i kantforhold: rammen, horisonten, grensen mellom inne og ute. Serien gjenspeiler en tilbakevendende forutsetning i min praksis — ideen om at den mest interessante arkitekturen ikke skjer i sentrum av et rom, men ved kantene, der ulike systemer forhandler om en felles grense.
Arbeidet ble utviklet parallelt med forskning på norske byggeskikker og deres forhold til landskapet, og har siden informert både designprosjekter og det visuelle grammatikken i min fotografiske praksis.
Borders and Transitions é uma série fotográfica que explora os momentos em que uma condição espacial cede a outra — onde a terra encontra a água, onde o terreno cultivado retorna ao estado selvagem, onde a intervenção humana se dissolve na paisagem. Fotografada durante uma viagem de verão pela Noruega, a série documenta esses limiares com um olhar arquitetônico.
Cada imagem é um estudo em condições de borda: a moldura, a linha do horizonte, a fronteira entre dentro e fora. A série reflete uma preocupação recorrente em minha prática — a ideia de que a arquitetura mais interessante não acontece no centro de um espaço, mas em suas bordas, onde sistemas diferentes negociam uma fronteira compartilhada.
O trabalho foi desenvolvido em paralelo com pesquisas sobre tradições construtivas norueguesas e sua relação com a paisagem, e desde então informou tanto projetos de design quanto a gramática visual de minha prática fotográfica.
